About Me
I have worked with children, teens, and young adults for over 20 years in various roles. I currently specialize in behavior problems, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, using a primarily cognitive behavioral approach. I prioritize proven methods backed by science to guide my practice. My goal is to provide clear, measurable progress, not just conversation. If you're used to traditional "talk therapy," I'd love to show you how a more structured, results-driven approach can help.
A core idea of most cognitive and behavioral therapies is that unwanted feelings, thoughts, and behaviors can be viewed as unhelpful habits masked as helpful ones. Just like any habit, you can strengthen or weaken it, using psychological techniques. My job is to identify the nature of these habits and give you specific techniques for changing them, through careful practice in your day-to-day life. A perceptive client of mine once described the process like this: I give you the recipe, and you cook it! If this sounds intimidating, do not worry: I will walk you through every step of the change process.
Let’s get started.
